This is Jaques Rancière himself giving a plenary speech at the Crossroads 2012 Conference in Paris about cultural studies and the method of equality. I myself contributed to the conference by hosting a parallel session on popular music and crisis with my colleagues and friends Michael Drewett from Grahamstown and Thomas Burkhalter from Bern and by presenting a paper about ‘dramatizing the crisis in industrial settings’.
